Ingredients
1
cup
frozen mixed berries
(Notes: blueberries, raspberries and blackberries for antioxidants)
1
medium
banana
(Notes: ripe, for natural sweetness and creaminess)
250
ml
oat milk
(Notes: or dairy milk for extra protein)
2
tbsp
rolled oats
(Notes: for texture and slow-release energy)
1
tbsp
Manuka honey
(Notes: use UMF 10+ for flavour; adjust to taste)
1
scoop
marine collagen powder
(Notes: optional, adds protein and skin support)
1
handful
baby spinach
(Notes: mild green boost, you won't taste it)
1
tsp
fresh grated ginger
(Notes: optional, for a zing and digestive support)
Instructions
Step 1
Add the frozen mixed berries, banana, oat milk and rolled oats into a high-speed blender.
Tip: For a thicker smoothie use less oat milk; for a thinner one, add a splash more.
Step 2
Add the baby spinach, collagen powder and grated ginger to the blender.
Tip: If using collagen, ensure it’s unflavoured for a neutral taste.
Step 3
Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
Tip: Pulse first to break up the frozen berries, then blend continuously for a silky texture.
Timing: PT1M
Step 4
Taste and sweeten with Manuka honey, starting with 1 tablespoon. Blend briefly to combine.
Tip: Use high-grade Manuka (UMF 10+) for its distinct floral, caramel notes; reduce quantity if you prefer less sweetness.
Timing: PT10S
Step 5
Pour into two tall glasses, drizzle a little extra Manuka honey on top if desired and serve immediately.
Tip: Garnish with a few fresh berries or a sprinkle of oats for crunch.
