Golden Manuka Turmeric Smoothie

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare ingredients: slice the banana, measure out frozen mango, oat milk and yoghurt/kefir. Grate the ginger if using.
Tip: Use a frozen banana if you prefer a thicker, chilled smoothie.

Step 2
Add banana, frozen mango, oat milk and yoghurt/kefir to a high-speed blender.
Tip: Scrape down the sides once before adding seeds and spices to ensure an even blend.

Step 3
Add turmeric, black pepper, chia seeds and grated ginger. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes.
Tip: Black pepper significantly improves the bioavailability of turmeric's active compounds.

Step 4
Stop and taste, then add Manuka honey. Blend briefly (10–15 seconds) to incorporate the honey without overheating the smoothie.
Tip: Adding Manuka honey last preserves more of its delicate enzymes and flavour.

Step 5
Pour into two glasses and, if desired, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or extra chia seeds on top. Serve immediately.
Tip: For an iced version, add a handful of ice and blend for 20–30 seconds.
